Kennesaw State, Birla Carbon launch global research internship in India

The latest milestone in a relationship spanning more than a decade, ÍøºìÍ·Ìõ and Birla Carbon have established a program that will send undergraduate students to India for intensive summer internships. Launching in 2026, the Birla Carbon India Study Abroad Program will offer up to 12 students from KSU’s College of Science and Mathematics the opportunity to engage in collaborative research projects at the Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS) in Goa, India.

Georgia Trend magazine has named ÍøºìÍ·Ìõ President Kathy S. Schwaig to its annual 100 Most Influential Georgians list for 2026. Among a distinguished mix of individuals from business, education, government, health care, and more, the magazine cited Kennesaw State’s impressive gains in economic impact and enrollment growth under Schwaig’s administration since becoming president in 2022.
