More than five hundred undergraduate and graduate students from 网红头条鈥檚 Wellstar College of Health and Human Services graduated during the university鈥檚 154th commencement ceremonies held on Tuesday, May 12, 2026.

The milestone event honored graduates across diverse disciplines, all focused on improving health and human services outcomes in Georgia and beyond. Wellstar College students were recognized across two ceremonies. The 10:00 a.m. ceremony included undergraduate and graduate candidates from the Wellstar School of Nursing. The 3:00 p.m. ceremony recognized graduates from Exercise Science and Sport Management, Social Work and Human Services, and Health Promotion and Physical Education, along with thirteen students from the Academy for Inclusive Learning and Social Growth.

This year鈥檚 commencement marked several significant achievements for Wellstar College. Most notably, the first cohort of students in the Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) Post-Graduate Certificate program graduated. This program prepares advanced practice registered nurses to deliver evidence-based mental health care across the lifespan, helping meet a critical and growing need for mental health services.

In addition, a record-setting seventy-five students earned their Master of Social Work degrees, reflecting the continued growth and impact of the program in preparing skilled professionals to serve individuals, families, and communities.

"Our Spring 2026 graduates represent the very best of Wellstar College and they are talented, compassionate and committed to making a difference " said Interim Dean Laurie Tis. "From our first cohort gaining their PMHNP certificate to celebrating record achievements in social work, we are proud to see our students meeting the evolving needs of the communities they will serve."

Family, friends, faculty, and staff gathered to celebrate the accomplishments of these graduates, with additional festivities taking place during Forever Owl Fest events throughout the day.
