    Arts receives gift for student scholarships

    网红头条 announced Thursday it has received a $336,000 donation to the Department of Dance in the College of the Arts. The gift from Jay and Debra Yunek, the Pomare-Conner Memorial Endowed Fund for Dance, honors their late uncle, Glenn Conner, and his partner and dance choreographer Eleo Pomare. The funds will be used to promote or preserve Pomare鈥檚 legacy through the study and performance of his artistic works in the field of dance.

Price, professor of professor of music and music education in the School of Music in the College of the Arts, has been honored by the National Association for Music Education (NAfME) as the 2018 recipient of the Senior Researcher Award. The award, which recognizes significant, long-term scholarship in music education, was given to Price at the recent NAfME鈥檚 Music Research and Teacher Education National Conference in Atlanta.
