Analytics Day provides our students with an opportunity to discuss their analytical
work with thought leaders and practitioners from across the region, giving them the
opportunity to discuss collaborative projects with local businesses. This event provides
organizations with a platform to meet students at all levels who are considering careers
in advanced analytics.
This semester's event will be held on Friday, April 25, 2025, on the Kennesaw Campus at the KSU Center, located at 3333 Busbee Drive NW, Kennesaw, GA 30144.

Keynote Speakers
David Arasmith
Head of Model Risk SVP, Regions Bank
David joined Regions in July 2022 as Head of Model Risk, with oversight of model risk and validation for the bank-wide inventory of models – both vended and in-house developed.
Immediately prior to taking the role at Regions, he held a limited term assistant
professorship in the School of Data Science and Analytics at ÍøºìÍ·Ìõ,
teaching Elementary Stats and Intro to Data Science during the spring semester of
2022.
From 2005 to 2021 David worked at SunTrust/Truist where he held various roles in Risk and Consumer Lending.
He joined the Risk Technology group in 2005 where he managed the implementation of the credit risk models for the Wholesale and Consumer segments, led the development of the counterparty credit risk management system (exposure and limit management) for capital markets, and led the development of a consolidated Value-At-Risk system to support the daily management of trading market risk.
In 2011 he joined the Market Risk group, with a concentration on reconciling capital markets assets to the GL and preparing the team for compliance with the updated market risk rule, which took effect in January of 2013.
In May of 2014, he assumed responsibility for Wholesale Forecast and Transactional Modeling, including the CCAR loss forecasting models and guided the team through the CCAR 2015 stress tests.
In September of 2015 David assumed the responsibility as the Head of Model Risk Management
for SunTrust, reporting to the CRO.Prior to his time at SunTrust/Truist he held software
development roles at ING (now Voya) and New Energy Associates (now Siemens).
David holds a B.A. in Mathematics from Bethel University in St. Paul MN, as well as
M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Mathematics from Emory University in Atlanta.
Joseph White
Distinguished Data Scientist Equifax Inc.
Joseph is a Distinguished Data Scientist within the R&D team that is chartered to pioneer disruptive solutions utilizing machine learning and artificial intelligence. Joseph leads a team of data scientists developing solutions in the financial services across the entire lending cycle (lending decisions, portfolio/account management) and risk management. Together with KSU alumnus and Equifax colleague Jonathan Boardman, Joseph leads the AI Ethics Lab at KSU where Equifax sponsors two Ph.D. students in Responsible AI research.
Prior to joining Equifax in 2022, Joseph was an engagement and team lead for data science and analytics consulting and supporting Top 25 banks in stress testing, portfolio and risk management, and call centers. Joseph has experience working at both large regional banks and midsize commercial banks in risk, compliance, and finance. Joseph earned his bachelor’s degrees in Math/Econ/French, a master’s degree in Applied Mathematics from Clemson University, and a master’s in Statistics and Ph.D. in Mathematics from the University of Tennessee.
James Eubanks
Manager of Data Science and Engineering WOW Internet
James is currently the manager of data science and engineering for WOW Internet. WOW works on real-time network analysis and optimization problems for over 500k customers, in addition to monitoring our internal core network devices. In the course of his work, James heavily utilizes Python, SQL, InfluxDB (timeseries database), and Grafana.
James is a double alumnus of KSU with a bachelor's in math (2014) and a master's from the College of Data Science and Analytics (2023). He has two wonderful kids aged 7 and 5, and loves spending time with them.

Industry and government organizations partner with us to find solutions to their data-centric problems through the Center for Data Science and Analytics (CDSA) and the Human Studies Lab, two of the most successful and dynamic research units at the university.
