Applying Research to Solve Problems

The BioInnovation Lab is an applied and integrative microbiology laboratory. Our focus is on fungi and the practical application of knowledge to solve problems. Our research spans a wide range of areas, including fungal pathogenesis and disease treatment, industrially-relevant chemical production, controlled environment agriculture, and culinary and medicinal mushroom cultivation, among others. We have a number of different projects supported by graduate and undergraduate students, as well as the VIP Team MycoSolutions – Solving Problems with Fungi. To learn more about our work, check out the Research and Publications pages.
